Carthage is a very experienced litigation solicitor who has developed a particular expertise in the area of regulatory law.
He has advised and represented companies, directors and employees in regulatory, competition and white collar crime investigations and prosecutions, in particular many high profile prosecutions arising out of the economic collapse. This has included appeals to the High Court, Court of Appeal and the Supreme Court on points of law.
Carthage has also represented clients before various Tribunals of Inquiry, judicial inquiries and GSOC investigations.
He is also retained by a national broadcaster and by the Association of Garda Superintendents, addressing the Associations Annual Conference. Carthage has also delivered lectures, including in-house seminars, on regulatory investigations and prosecutions.
At all times Carthage’s focus is on providing practical and pragmatic advices to clients, ensuring that their interests are served and protected at all times.
Carthage holds a Bachelor of Civil Law Degree (BCL) from University College Dublin and qualified as a solicitor in 2001. He joined this firm in 2018 as a Partner.
